Montu started with a cat named Luna.
In 2024, our co-founder Elena noticed her cat Luna was drinking a little more water than usual. Nothing dramatic — just the kind of thing you tell yourself you'll mention at the next vet visit.
Four months later, Luna was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism that had been progressing quietly the whole time. Luna is okay now. But those four months haunted us.
We built Montu because cat parents shouldn't need a medical degree to notice the patterns their cat can't tell them about. AI is very good at spotting small changes over time. Cats are very good at hiding them. Put those two things together and you get something that feels a lot like peace of mind.
